Do I Really Need A Logo For My Business

Since I just revamped my J.E.G. Design logo I wanted to share a little information about why I think it’s important for you to seriously consider having a custom logo created for our business. I know you might be thinking “Logos… what purpose do they really serve?” or “Isn’t paying to have a logo created a big waste of money?”

Of course, in this tight economy we all need to get the best return for the advertising dollars we spend, but before you nix the idea of having a logo created for your business consider this.

A well-designed logo will leave prospective clients with a positive first impression.  The keywords here are “well-designed.”   A good designer can create a logo that conveys your message.  Whether it’s elegance, professionalism, jazzy, funky or creative your logo will tell just that to your potential customers.

That “perfect” logo can give the impression that you are an established, well-run business with a plan and you are so why not say so!  Your logo also says you are here to stay and are committed to providing a fine product.  What’s more when you begin using your logo in all your ad campaigns (print and online) you and your business will become instantly recognizable.   That is where your branding journey begins.

I have a question for you.  When you glance at a page full of ads, news articles and such, what catches your eye first?  I know for me an interesting and creative graphic draws my attention instantly and that is what the perfect logo can do for your business.  With a great logo no longer will your ad be lost in the crowd.

Sometimes though we simply can’t afford to invest in a logo because we have other priorities to spend our hard-earned money on.  If that’s the case, put it on your list.  But in the meantime think about what color scheme you might want, do you want wavy lines or geometric lines and when you’re ready take those sugggestions to a professional who can put it all together.   Making your business memorable that’s what your logo is all about.
